I deposited a check recently into my account. Is it possible to cancel a check that is in the process of being cleared? I did not write the check.

Or one from your checks ?
Your question is not only confusing , but
We can't answer it anyway .
You have to call YOUR bank and ask them .
They know the answer , Not us .

Yes, but your bank may charge you a hefty fee. Contact them directly.
Why would you cancel a deposit?
You could also simply write a check for the same amount back to whomever you got the check from.

why don't you let the check clear, because it's not worth to have the check cancle and you have to pay the fee
