Also, I must say that it is NOT a fear of appearing in public or forgetting my lines. It IS a fear of commiting too powerfully to any church. Though I love my Christian friends in the church, I know realistically that any church can turn on you at any time with almost no reason. What if they turn on me just two days before the opening performance? Emotionally, my anger would prevent me from wanting to serve them. Am I nuts, or just being realistic?

You are being realistic, but you're gonna miss out on a lot of fun. If they do turn on you two days before the performance, they'll forget about it when you successfully pull it off. Then you can switch churches anyway.

Dont support him. There we go someones told you what your'e thinking in your mind.

You are confused. There is nothing wrong with any church. So please leave them out of your equation. Tis the people that belong to the churches that you fear.

To be honest its you that can turn on the church and its congregation for almost no reason. Thats been the story of your life so far hasnt it.

Snap out of it and start being honest with you first then everything will fall into place okay.

Do it to support you beliefs and yourself not for the pastor or church friends.
If you were angered over something then being a good human and christian let go of your anger and still do the play.
Do it for yourself as a self lesson or as a self character building exercise.

Just relax and play the part. These chances don't come to you everyday. Grab the opportunity.
