Yes I am totally with you. I hate it when people ask a question and people just answer with stuff like:
Don't know but haha
No idea
They are only in it for the points but people are asking questions because they want a useful answer believe it or not. And at the end of the day, what do points really matter, so long as you have helped someone.
I am so with you and I will report all people who are just being silly with their answers.
By the way do you know how you can contact yahoo? If you do please answer in the comments.

This is one of the very few answers/statements that Y!A should be able to produce a program for that will scan your answer quickly before you post it and not even allow the question to be posted to begin with. And, if your answer is scanned as being a ToS violation, you should be deducted 5 points in addition to not being able to post the answer. This should also apply to spam answers with links to obvious spam sites. A list of frequently posted spam sites should be easy to compile. Spammers should be deducted 10 points and not be able to answer for 1 full day from the time of the violating post.
My 2 cents....not 2 points...lol

They usually do it to the people who ask the same questions over and over and over again. There is one who has asked the same question over 20 times. Who should they report it to and what is the 10 points?

I usually ignore it.
But I was also reminded this morning by someone else, that it is considered "gaming" and is a Violation of the Community Guidelines. So far, Yahoo!Answers has not been strict in enforcing that rule.
I never report those people.

I think those that do it should have all their points removed. I can't speak for everyone else but I like to give my opinions, participate in conversation and offer, as well as request, help to/from others.
If some are simply writing that to 'score' points then they are not really serving any purpose by being here.
Its a difficult one to police though because all of us are capable of giving any old answer (even if we don't believe in it) just to knock up points........
..............I don't, I have to much to say!! ;o))

It kinda makes me mad too, this isn't a game it is to help answer peoples questions. If you want the two points then great, but give a worth while answer!

I think they are only trolling for points. Which makes no sense at all, because there's nothing you can DO with them once you get them! It's not like you can save them up and buy a new Hummer with them or anything. Hell, you don't even get a cookie when you gain new levels.

I find that very annoying, I believe that if you don't like a question, or you can't answer it, then it's best to ignore it, and there are plenty more questions they could answer to gain points if they are really that in need of them.
