There is no town or city called Comal in Texas. But Comal County is just north of the city of San Antonio and is included in the San Antonio Metropolitan Statistical Area. The major city in Comal County is New Braunfels. The official Website is below:

Comal County also includes Smithson Valley which is up by the Comal Dam and Canyon Lake. There are four high schools in the Comal County area including New Braunfels High School (only New Braunfels residents attend), Canyon HIgh School, Canyon Lake HIgh School and Smithson Valley High School. Its a county..The city of New Braunfels is in it...The Guadalupe River is the main attraction, and the Schilterbaun water park. Nice little city to visit.
