Jennyann, your questions stimulate our thinking and I try hard to come up with a thought out sensible answer (I have been told I"m too serious and when I try to give a lighthearted answer it is misconstrued) We have to do what the farmers do and separate the wheat from the chaf and hope everything blows over soon. Ignore the sarcasm and please just keep on doing what you do so well.

I'm fairly new to this forum and don't understand what the
troll thing is all about. Or who's out to get who. The idea behind YA is not about fighting, but for having fun. If the
thumbs up or down has you in a tizzy, don't look. People
have the option of voting if they don't approve of an answer
or if they do. It's not a ratings war. People have the right to
vote either way. Or not even bother. There are people who
enjoy writing crude statements, for shock value. I assume
those are the juveniles, rather than the adult minded. I tend
to keep on ignoring those questions that indicate that the
pot's being stirred to continue the venting. There are many
many more questions that I can reply to.
And as long as there are like minded souls who enjoy the
honest questions and answers given, there will be alot of
seniors enjoying the forum. Whatever has been going on,
has been blown out of proportion it appears. So now back
to some mild mannered questions, I've got to read.

The crap that is going on right now is easily ignored by bypassing anything that has to do with the infighting. I don't understand any of it...this is virtual, not real here. NO ONE has any way of knowing who is doing what to whom. From what I have seen, no one has done anything that deserves all this silliness. I hate petty in anyone. I cannot deal with it in life, (I don't, I don't allow it in my workplace, and I don't allow it in my home(at least, at home, it doesn't even start). It would seem that as soon as some people take offense, they go on a rampage to get as much backing from others...this is soooo High School. I a regression going on here? I will have to admit I expected more from a site populated by Seniors, but then are we not just older versions of our previous selves? ...and it takes all kinds to make up the world...real and virtual.
However, having been on many discussion forums on the net, I have found that giving fuel/fodder to the issue only enflames it. The opposite of love is not hate but indifference. No one stays around long who is ignored. My answer: ignore them and go about your business.
