Go for it......get some number 8's but keep them on their own..if they cant get any snails to eat then will start nipping other fish fins.

The most common freshwater Puffer is the Dwarf Puffer. At only about 1.5 inches, it might not look too threatening, but they practically saw fish in half with their beaks. They are very aggressive and are generally best in species tanks, or with small Catfish that won't bother them. In a 300 L tank, how about 10 Dwarf Puffers and 15-20 Oto Cats. 300 L is about 80 gallons, meaning you would have plenty of room. The ONLY way this could POSSIBLY work is if the tank was VERY heavily planted. The plants will help break up the Puffers' lines of site, reducing aggression. The only downside to Puffers besides their aggression is their tendency to be very picky eaters. Most will only take live or frozen food (never flakes), meaning their meals can get a bit expensive and time consuming. Email me if you have any questions.

I wouldn't try a puffer if I was you. Puffers are difficult to care for and require to be fed very often. I am pretty sure that all puffer fish are at least brackish, probably marine. I would suggest adding some chiclids. But are you planning on leaving your oscars in there?

Hi, I have a puffer fish and it isnt difficult to keep at all, you just have to be careful what you keep them with. Having a puffer can seriously limit what else you can keep in your tank. No crabs etc, they bite right through the shell. Hope this helps!

actual, maximum folk say to maintain a million to each 5, yet I actual have stored 3 in a 5 gallon for over a three hundred and sixty 5 days and that they have got been healthful and merely superb. So particular, i could say that putting a million in a 2.5 gallon is going to be ok.
