Please see the link below to the Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Outlook Handbook. It tells you a lot about the education required of pharmacists, occupational outlook, earnings, etc.

It takes a minimum of 6 years to become a pharmacy: 2 years of prepharm and 4 years of pharmacy.
