If you want to visit the U.S., you may do so without a visa for up to 90 days, or longer, if you apply for a tourist visa. if you wish to go to college in the U.S., you must be accepted by a college and apply for a student visa. On this visa you may work on campus for up to 20 hrs a week. If you wish to work in the U.S., you must first find an employer , then get a work visa. If you wish to immigrate, you must get at the end of a VERY Long line. See website below to begin your research...there is a lot to do. It is not impossible, but takes a great deal of determination. It is just as difficult for a person to move from the U.S. to the U.K.

Unless you marry a rich american, you're going to need to work, and I think that's the tricky bit because you need a green card to do that, and they're notoriously difficult to earn.

You don't say how old you are and whether you're still at school, but if you are, perhaps it's be a good idea to start researching what sort of skills you'd need to have before they'd give you a green card. Obviously they're not going to give them to just anyone, but to people who have skills which are quite rare and they can't necessarily get easily over there, e.g. brain surgeons.

You have to get a visa first! And that ain't fun believe me, nor is it cheap.
