Polyester does not shrink. You may melt it if you get the heat too high, but it won't shrink. That's partially why synthetic fabrics became so popular.

Now the wool part will shrink. The problem you face with this is that depending on if it's a total blend or if the warp and weft fibers are of different content, you may get all sorts of different results from shrinking the wool.If it's an all over blend, then you may get weird puckering in the fabric. If you are looking at warp/weft issues, the fabric might shrink length or width wise, but not the other.

Best bet, find a seemstress to take it in or buy a smaller size.

Wash it in hot water, and dry it at the highest temperature setting. Usually, most shrinkage occurs in the dryer. That is, if you want it to shrink. If not, cold wash and cool dry.
