I am a home owner facing a large expense. My furnace needs replaced this year. Ouch.

Rent- but you're gonna get more answers saying they own because they can be proud of that.
So many people like me work and work hard but can never seem to catch up to the prices of homes. I saw home prices go up 72% in 6 years. I was close to being able to buy 6 years ago. Very unfortunately my pay rate did NOT go up at the rate the prices of gasoline, utilities and homes. Nobody else I know has had that happen either. My only hope is that as the flood of foreclosures rises the prices of homes will fall into my range again.
