This would depend on your tank size. Red-tailed and rainbow sharks are the ones you should avoid, since these resemble the red-tail you already have, and will be the ones most likely to be attacked by your red-tail.
Also, avoid Colombian sharks, as these are often sold as a "freshwater" shark when in reality they should be in a brackish tank as juveniles and marine tanks as adults.
Apart from those, if you have a large enough tank and can find another species that will have the same requirements for water conditions (temperature, salinity) you should be okay. Just be aware that the red-tail will get territorial, so any other bottom fish should be able to withstand or match it's temperment.

None really. Red-Tailed Sharks are very territorial and can grow up to 6 inches. The minimum size tank they should be kept in is no less than 20 gallons. But maybe if you have enough hiding places and/or plants, then you could get away with another Red-Tailed Shark or Rainbow Shark. NOT Bala shark, those things grow up to a foot and need a minimum of 75 gallons.

Red-Tailed sharks are territorial and will display aggression against other fish that use the same type of space. They grow past 6 inches, not to 6 inches.
Since 'Shark' is not a species of freshwater fish, the fish given this title actually comprise of fish from other groups like catfish (i.d. shark) and minnows (bala/silver shark) because of shark-like appearance. Most of them are bottom dwellers and will end up in fights with a red-tailed one, so unless you have a really big tank, I'd suggest you keep just the one shark and look at different mid and top dwellers to go with him.

Redtail sharks are an aggressive backside residing cat fish, they desire fifty 5 gallons minimum. they could desire to now not be in a tank with different redtailed sharks or with rainbow sharks. they could desire to now not be with mollies because of the fact mollies desire a minimum of a touch salt interior the water. Catfish can now not tolerate any salt interior the water. Bala sharks are a streamlined mid residing fish that could develop to fourteen inches and could be in faculties of 6 or extra. A seventy 5 gallon may be the minimum to commence, yet they could wish a a hundred and fifty or extra desirable tank while they began to get extra desirable. what percentage mollies are interior the 20 gallon? There isnt too lots room to artwork with. you have 3 balloon mollies and six cherry barbs.

I definitely agree with Ghapy. Better get a mid or top dweller fish that is also compatible with red tails.
