Stephen, if you were as "smart" as your profile says you are you would know that the 21st century started on January 01, 2001---NOT 2000! or maybe that's your "sister"???

Yankee fans are like a spoiled rotten kid brother. They get everything they want all the time, and the rare times that things don't go their way, they don't know how to handle it. What do they do? Stomp their feet, throw a temper tantrum, and continue to say how great they are.

They just don't know how to accept bad news.

Well it's because Yankees fans, like myself, are stubborn. I am very stubborn when it comes to the Yankees. It's hard to believe that we haven't won in the 21st century b/c we all think we are the best -- which in a sense is true. However, it has only been 6 years. You're making it sound like it's a bad thing. It's extremely tough for a team to win a WS every 6 years. The Yankees have been around for 104 years -- we won 26 World Series. That means that we win one every 4 years. However, there have been years where we won 3 in a row, and 6 in a row. So, if it wasn't for that stretch all at once, the number 4 I mentioned before would be a lot higher. So to ridicule a team for not winning a World Series in 6 years isn't fair -- not to mention we were in the World Series twice since 2001.

It's not that Yankee fans get mad. They EXPECT to win. Having 26 of 103 WS wins is pretty good. So when they don't win, they appear mad.

That said, I'm a Red Sox fan, and will always be one. I think Cleveland is going to give them some fits. And the Yankees better hope that Trot Nixon doesn't come up in a clutch situation. The man has been there done that and should NEVER have left Boston. Yeah, I'm a Trot fan! Here's hoping the Red Sox and Indians meet in the ALCS, where I will be a Red Sox fan....Sorry Trot. ;)

Go Red Sox!

Let me Think When did those Indians win one? I'm still trying to recall one Oh there it is 1948. Yankees 3 times in the past ten years is much better for me than 1 time in the last 60 years

Why is it that when a pathetic Tiger fan does not like when someone posts the truth, he chickens out and blocks that poster from his questions?

BTW The Yankees have won 4 World Series Championships since the last time the Tigers have. The Tigers have one good year last year and all of a sudden they're so great. It must be an inferiority complex that you have. Please explain to me in your infinite wisdom as to what was incorrect in any of my answer to your previous question because as you say I need a clue.

I would assume that a person with no basis to refute my statement like yourself will just block this email address as well. That's alright because I don't need to read anymore of your stupid questions that are completely off base and rather ridiculous.

I can take it! It really doesn't bother me,I'm hoping this yr will be different,I also don't mind going in the playoffs as the WC winner! Alot of teams went in as the WC winner, only to go on and win the WS,Which i really belive is gonna happen with us!!
EDIT
TDK Bring on your two top pitchers! We are still 6-0 against your TWO BIG BAD PITCHERS! And that was before we got
Chamberlain and Huges!!

Because now they just found out they have to play the Cleveland Indians which means they STILL will not have won in the 21st century. The tribe with crazy top 2 pitchers in CC and Carmona will add insult to injury! Hopefully Borowski can close out the games for them without making it too exciting.

Thou shalt not challenge the Faith, nor shalt thou challenge the basis of the Faith.

The Yankees USED to win the World Series a lot, and that should be good enough for the unwashed masses to believe -- nay, KNOW -- that the Yankees will win the World Series again.

Unbeliever. Heretic. Blasphemer. Infidel.

Why do you bash the Yankees when the Tigers haven't won since 1984?

i'm a yankees fan, and i can take it. i think 26 is plenty. and we're in the playoffs again, even though everybody said we were done in july. its only the wildcard, but with the crappy season the yanks had, i think they'll take it.
