I can only speak for myself;
An excellent friend and lover, able to be a true partner, intelligent, pursues his own interests-allows me to pursue mine-enjoys our shared interests, reliable, faithful, able to apologize and accept apologies, practical when necessary-dreamer to the core, adores me and accepts my adoration of him, brave, curious, can be on his own for weeks or months at a time-but still enjoys spending time with me, attentive to kids, interesting, not petty, not cruel, and not lacking in self-esteem. Laughs often, works hard...and is my favorite playmate. Can take care of me when needed-can accept me taking care of him when needed. So far, my ideal spouse and I have been nurturing our marriage for 27 years.

Well, the ideal spouse would be someone with the utmost respect for women - ie that he would never be abusive, either verbally, emotionally or especially physically.
A good sense of humour, thoughtfulness, understanding and a good companion would go a long way.
Women hate being alone and parted from their spouses....

ideal spouse is someone who protests but eventually allows her every whim and fancy. in reality this the best formula for a happy married life.

Kind, caring, intelligent, responsible, not into drugs or alcohol or partying, has similar goals, and someone I can trust completely. Additionally, someone who wants to be a good provider so I can concentrate on the kids and the household. I already found him. :-)

He is the one irreplaceable man in my life. He is intelligent, witty, responsible, a great provider, compassionate and respectful. He has his priorities straight: keeps his friends close, but family closer. He is a great father and a best friend to me. He is my husband of 17 years.

Ideal man is a man who had the best characteristics but in the end the women should not tire of him and then ask him for the divorce papers.....
