ok....im about to by a Nvidia GeForce 7600 GS and a new power supply.....my question is do i need a PCI-E connecter on the power supply for the card to work (and my motherboard has pci-E).......PLz help

The 7600 card does not require an extra power connector so a standard power supply will work fine. But since you are going to buy a new supply why not get one that has all of the connections so that if in the future you replace this card with a bigger on you will already have the correct power supply.

If your mobo supports SLI, then there is probably already an extra power riser on the board to power the second card.

No you do not need a pci-e connector directly from the power supply. Most graphics cards these days come with a 2-1 molex-to-pci-e connector with them. If it doesnt come with one, they go cheap at your local computer shop.

P.S Most power supplies these days either have alot of molex connectors or a pci-e connector on them so you should be fine.
