Wii is great a system cause of all the things it can do for a low price not really low but its the cheapest out of the 360 and PS3 and the Wii games I admit arent that good right now but have great upcoming games like
Super Smash Brothers Brawl
Super Mario Galaxy and way more!

As advertised the Wii caters to most type of people
those would not even think about getting a PS3,360 gets a Wii because to them its "fun"
some people must understand that the majority of Wii owners are not the ones camping outside stores to get Zelda or Metriod Prime
these people enjoy simple games that doesn't require 24hrs or something to finish (like final fantasy games) and the Wii is the console that has a lot of simple games

i kind of agree with you. i dont think it sucks. i like it. but i am not playing it at the moment. i didnt care for metroid and i am waiting for mario. that game looks good. but other than that, ehh. people want it because people want it. it became popular because of the controller and the more people talked, the more people wanted it. and compared to the price of the ps3 and 360, you cant go wrong. it is losing its fun, i will admit, and i do play the ps3 a lot more. but for a cheap thrill, its pretty cool. and my friend got the wii the day it came out and there was 3 people waiting in line. so as people played it, it became more popular and more of a wanted item. although i like the ps3 more, i like the wii more than the 360.

Simply put - it's something new. Look at all the Mario games. Most of them are terrible, but if it says "Mario Bros." on it, they'll line up for it. The best example of course, is the iphone - who in their right mind would stand in line for days for a cell phone/ipod combo ? Then the ones that did are crying because the price has dropped. I think anyone that stands in line to buy the latest gadget is a complete moron. Within a few weeks, the stores will have plenty of them and no lines - and ANYONE who would pay $600 for a cell phone needs professional help. Before long, the stores will have so many Wiis that they'll be giving them away. Remember the Tickle Me Elmo ? People were paying megabucks on ebay for them, then about a year later, I saw a whole table of them at a Kay-Bee store and asked the clerk how fast they were selling. Her reply - "We haven't sold a single one".

Zelda, Super Paper Mario, Sonic, Brain Academy, Metroid 3 and wii sports to name a few how can you possibly say there is no good games for it when there is clearly tons of great games available.

Because it doesnt suck and its games are heaps of fun and its a console for the whole family... while some of their current games may not be the best it is a damn sight cheaper than PS3 and isnt likely to stuff up like a 360...that and Nintendo never fails to disappoint with its later games.

I am sorry for that. I enjoy my Wii, but i knew going into it that there would be certain games that I could never play on it.
