There's a link above the box that says "check spelling." It won't help you with your grammar, but it will spot most spelling mistakes. Then we might have a better chance at understanding your question.

Yes, I did. Totally agree that the spell check facility should be used for all answers and questions before they are submitted. Nowadays, SMS and chat have forced people to sacrifice spelling accuracy for communication speed. Old school people like me crave for correct spelling and, if possible, grammar too, in writing. If poor spelling habits don't get corrected soon, a day will come soon when writing would become unintelligible. I hope I won't be alive at that time.

I raised this question myself and most people thought that communicating was more important than spelling and grammar. That being the case, perhaps I have just that bit more pride in what I write, and how I write it than others on here.

Maybe the illiterate ones think that it's just there to remind them to check their spelling. They might not know it will check it for them!?!?!?

Amen! Where DO these kids get their education...well, adults for that matter. I wish they had a straight grammar section.

Yes, I did notice it. Also, I think a lot of people people need to use it. I mean, what's so cool about writing "fo sho" instead of " for sure"???
