The current average age for the menopause in UK is 51 years. It MAY be accompanied by the typical menopausal symptoms of sweats, flushing and mood swings. These can last from a few weeks to 5 or 6 years, but not all women are affected.

From 45 to 55 years old.

We have to make a difference between menopause (the stop of menses) and climaterium (the period when fertility ends, as puberty is the period when fertility starts) Climaterium can be bothersome, with hot flashes, dry vagina or proneness to vaginal infections. Or it can be bearable and comfortable depending on the woman.

The age varies. But somewhere, usually, in the 40's to 50's.

To deal with hot flashes, keep a sense of humor, water, a sweater, and a fan nearby. The sweater will go on and off as you flash, as will the fan. Drink the water as you need it. And the sense of humor? Keep it active and find humor around you or you get aggravated!
