Apples and oranges:

The MBA is a generalist business degree, the CPA is a specialization state certification.

You can get an MBA with a concentration in accounting and become a CPA.

If you have a BS in Finance, it may be more worthwhile for you to get your master's in finance and not the generalist MBA. You could also get an MBA with a concentration in finance.

The real question here is whether you want to enter finance, management, or accounting. The degree you get will depend upon which of these you want to lean toward.

If you've got a BS in Finance, you'll probably not learn much more when you get your MBA.

Both the MBA and CPA are valued highly in the working world, where hiring managers find it easier to hire the guy or gal with more initials, rather than asking the right questions about his or her relevant work experience.
