Yes, I know the surplus was from the Clinton era...don't even think I would credit Bush with being able to balance a checkbook, much less a budget.

Tx - obviously you're an *** and have nothing positive to contribute to the dialogue. Why don't you go play with your legos now...

Like the moronic poster who claimed that Bush gave tax breaks to his "rich buddies", you obviously have no grasp of history or simple economics. Until you get a grasp, MoveOn.moron.

I don't think Bush actually got around to giving out tax rebates. If you remember a little thing happened in September in New York that quickly wiped out that surplus and it's never been seen again.

The difference is this: As you said, Bush gave people rebates from a government surplus. How would Hillary's plan get paid for? More taxes. It will cost a ton of money!

I assume your question is serious? - Or are you that messed up? Bush didn't "give" anybody anything - he simply returned money that the government had confiscated from them. They earned the money - and the government gave it back. The government didn't create a darn thing. Now Hillary wants to give money confiscated from others to newborns - those newborns didn't earn it. Can you see the not so subtle difference? can you say "redistribution of wealth"? Can you understand that concept?

What rebate?

My taxes have gone UP over the last 7 years.

The "budget surplus" was CREATED during Bill Clinton's presidency. Bush just gave it away to rich people.

And now we are ALL paying for his personal war in Iraq.

Mark my words - Bush will go down in history as the WORST president in all of American history to date.

You should be thanking the Clinton's for that budget surplus that Dubya gave away to his rich friends, we are now in the biggest deficit in US history thanks to his occupation of Iraq. Do you even read the newspaper?

The reason we would have to do bonds is that thanks to this administration and the people who blindly follow it, there IS NO MONEY TO GIVE!!!!!

Essentially, if you want anything at all it *has* to be an IOU (Bond)

Geez.

Clinton wants more Democrats to spawn, because they are going to lose permanently in the future.
