Man's worst enemy is himself. By negative thinking, lying, cheating, narcissistic thoughts or actions, and bad health habits, man is destroying himself.
Also, not dealing in reality or being realistic about himself and others or over-exceeding his limits, he is destroying himself. God gave us a complex brain over other animals and just look what we do with it! Some are good. Some are...

Man.
Our own greed,selfishness and short-sightedness has already begun to endanger everything. By letting technology run rampant and unchecked
for decades in the cause of economic gain and personal
comfort,we have disrupted the balance of nature. Now we have global warming to be followed in the not-too-distant future with floods,droughts,famines and the inevitable wars.
I wonder what our descendants will be saying about us in a hundred years.

Self...but nature runs a close second...Man is very self destructive and believes that knowledge gives him rights...but just because you can do something does not mean that you should...take the splitting of the atom...

Greed. Mans selfish self-satisfaction. It prompts man to desire to have that which is not rightly his. This prompts man to act to acquire things. This is where it gets ugly. Man will lie, cheat, steal, murder, rape, and commit uncountable other acts to have something that they want. Man has wanted things since recorded history began. It's started wars. It's killed relatives including immediate family. It is probably behind every lie in some way or another. People die over property all the time. This is man's worst enemy. Now how do we stop it? That should be the next question.

Right at the moment, our worst enemies are those people who have power but no conscience. Hopefully such people will be eliminated from our society in the near future, but we'll see.

Man's worst enemy is man. The EARTH is not bombing other countries. PLANTS are not murdering people everyday. Other ANIMALS are not effing up our environment beyond repair. Humans are stupid. If I could nuke us all, I would.
