-4(x + 6) + 6 = 2x - 6(x + 7)

It's inconsistent.
Add the x's on each side: Both total -4.
But the constant on the left-hand side is -18
and that on the right is -42.
So -4x-18 = -4x-42,
-18 = -42, which is impossible.

3-3(5-x)=0 3-15+3x=0 3x=12 x=4 Therefore , when you solve the given equation you get only one value for x.Hence this equation is a conditional equation. It cannot be an identity because it is not true for all values of x. This equation can not be an inconsistent equation because it has one solution.

-4x-24+6 = -4x-42 => -18 = -42 => inconsistent equation
