I'm trying to find the method to remove the motor through the hood of my 93 z28 rather than underneath. I don't have a lift and don't want to have to buy the manual only to find out it wants to pull it through the bottom. Thanks everyone.

51, I've talked with someone who has done it before. And there are others who say they have done it. The radiator has to be removed, tranny, plastic cowl piece, and everything else connected to the motor. And if angled right, the motor can be pulled out with a cherry picker. I'm trying to find a manual that instructs me on how to do this, but I don't think there is. I just talked with someone about the Chilton and there manual shows how to do it from the bottom. But I can't lift my car 5-6 feet off the ground, so I need to do this from the hood.
