Is there any law against wearing a t-shirt with curse words on it or anything?

There are laws in certain states that are probably unconstitutional but they would have to be challenged in court.

The ACLU has some interesting articles.

There are no laws against it as far as being arrested - but businesses and institutions have a right to refuse entrance or services if they find the shirt offensive. Most malls, restaurants, and other public places have notices posted on their entrances regarding prohibited clothing. Once you enter, you are agreeing to abide by those rules and can be removed from the premises. You would only be arrested if you created a scene. When wearing something too offensive in public - be ready to deal with the potential fallout in the way of comments and or physical threats. In our city there was a case of a young man who got into a fight while wearing a T-shirt that said " F - - k Bush" ( I left out the letters that were on the real shirt). He tried to press charges of assault on the person who attacked him but the judge ruled that he had provoked the fight by wearing the shirt to a public park. So, decide if wearing the shirt is worth the fallout that might result.

In what state and city?

Are you a student who wants to wear one to school? If you are, they can keep you from wearing a shirt with curse words because it is deemed to be "disruptive."
