My suggestion is nothing too loose fitting that will get dragged through the mess - but still give you enough range of movement to scoop and carve. Probably not your Sunday best - it is a messy affair.

Is this a joke, or do you really need our help to decide what to wear?
If it's a Joke: Dress as Baby Huey (a big fat duck that wears a diaper).
If you're serious: Put on an apron and some junk clothes -- apron on top.

Do not wear anything that you do not want to get dirty.
But wear a hat if you are out in the sun.
Please be nice to the pumpkins.
You should only cut them when you need to eat them.
Pumpkins have feelings.
The picking and the carving is very traumatic for them.

Blue jeans with a sweat shirt. A hair clip to put your hair up and if is more than one I will don an apron. Lots of newspaper and hand towels to the side. Have fun!
