I have a friend that owes me money he said he will write a note for the amount saying his LLC owes me the money. Is he still liable or can his LLC fold then he owes me nothing?

One reason for forming an LLC is to protect personal assets. If the LLC folds, he can technically owe you nothing. Get him to write the note from himself, not the LLC.
