can they charge you if you wanted a copy of your birth certificate(sorry for misspelling) and any other Info on your health

Hospitals do not keep copies of birth certificates. That is from the Bureau of Vital Statistics in the city you were born, and there is usually a charge ($5.00 or so) Most medical records can only be sent to another hospital or doctor.

Depends on the type of hospital. Private hospitals can charge you for anything they want. There be be a minimal charge (less than 20 bucks) for the time and energy it takes to dig you out of the files. If you are looking for a birth certificate to use for a passport; the one from the hospital will not be accepted. It must be the notarized one from the state / county.

Yes, but you get your birthcertificate from a county office usually, like Hall of Records or something like that. Hospitals charge for copying information, etc.

didnt know that hospitals issued birth certificates.i was under the apprehension that you had to go to a registrar in the bir.not sure if a hospital will release your medical records.ask your gpths,marriages and deaths office in your local town.think a BC is £5.dont think a hospital will release your medical records ask your .

Yes, cause it costs for the paper and time it takes an employee to do it for you. They have to recoup the money the lose from the no pays. It's a fact of life. Sorry!
