My PC crashed this week. So I rebuilt everything. I have a valid XP prof. code and have performed all the necessary steps to get it running again.. When I was finished all seemed okay. Now a dialogue box is popping up saying I have unrecognized versions, warning of another crash. Can any one tell me how to fix this problem? I am also getting additional warnings to put my original CD into my drive. I guess it is supposed to find some files. It never does. Please assist. Thanks in advance. William.

If, as you say, you have a legal XP CD, then contact Microsoft for a new installation KEY.

You'll probably have to buy a new XP CD and Key

Hi,
i would go for a clean install of windows again (reformat your HD first), so backup all your data and start again.
