grandmother = abuela

I suppose a mother who is grand might be madre gran or madre grandioso.

madre grande would normally mean large mother

And concreting if its from ur mom Abuela materna
from ur dad Abuela paterna..

Btw, Gran madre is wrong..
tht means like great mom or sth like that.
