why are grand prix gtp always automatic why can't you get them manual (talking bout 97-03 gtp's too)?

It takes a very good front wheel drive gear box to stand up to the torque of the supercharged V-6 3800. The 1990 to 1996 grand prix had a very rare Getrag German 5 speed gear box with the 235 HP four cam motor. But that motor was not as torquey.

Apparently, the manufacturer decided not to offer these cars with a manual transmission. Probably due to low demand from potential buyers of the new cars.
