It's always a good idea to try the jacket on in person to make sure it fits the way you want, but most shops don't have allot on hand ( i shop at cycle gear allot and they will order what you want and you don't have to buy it). Finally more and more manufactures are making gear specifically for women.
Check out Icon (rideicon.com), Joe Rocket, alpinestars, teknic, also: cortech and tourmaster. (there in the order I would look at them). They make the jackets better "shaped" for a women. Some also sell pants and boots. Icon sells chaps(and some interesting boots) that match their jackets but I have always liked of alpinestars cat pant. Hope this helps.

Cycle Gear is a good place to start thats were I get my riding gear at good prices and you can't beat there customer service only place I know that lets you buy a helmet and try it for 7 days if you don't like it take it back and trade it for another one and it is the same on most of the riding gear like jackets and leather gloves

Where are you located? b/c I have a brand new Icon Kitty Leather Jacket for sale that's a ladies small. I bought it but then ended up getting pregnant so never could wear it and know my husband is selling his bike. It's never been worn. Let me know if you are interested.

your best bet is to visit some local shops and try them on in person.. Does your city have a shop called Cycle Gear nearby? They have a pretty big selection for ladies, all colors and sizes. Most of the ladies that I know have bought Icon & MSR brand for summer & winter

Umm properly i be attentive to the place you shouldnt get one. you shouldnt get one at walmart because of the fact their probaly now not good there. Umm discover one with a backbone protector sorry i wish that turn into good enoguh!!
