Most commentators appose it. Alan Colmes, who has a radio show, apposes it also. I've yet to see anyone state that Air America is pro-Fairness Doctrine (unless I've missed something).... It's the Democratic congress who is pushing for this. :)
Edit:
Hmmmmmmmmm.... I see where you're coming from.

Some are 'fer it, some a'gain it....everyone has an opinion. But I always wonder what their opinion is based on. Personally I'd like to see the Fairness Doctrine back. I don't think a few minutes at the end of every right wing radio morons rant would exactly bring down the Republic and a second opinion might even plump up the ratings and spark some real discussions. Real discussions..wow...do you think the propaganda artists of the right want that? Give it a think and get back to me! Moving on! ('ya know..dot com..a little pun there!) The reactionaries that have hijacked the GOP certainly don't want the F/D and it's not hard to understand why...they own the airways...what's the point in sharing? When Reagan's stooges in the FCC abolished the F/D we soon got Radio Fascisti USA. Reagan saw this and said, "It is good!" There's a lot of reasons why the right wing managed to take over the public airways and by golly ya'll can look this up without a whole lot of research...maybe some of you will, but most won't. Too bad...coup 'd etats are interesting readin'! Way back the FCC believed that the american people should get every single side of an issue via the public airways...why? Because the public airways are ...gasp...public. Unlike magazines and newspapers and even the internet, radio and TV operate with a licence from the government and are REQUIRED to act in the public good.....at this point they're not.....talk among yourselves....wadda' 'ya think?

What most Repubs do not know is that the Fairness Doctrine was abolished in 1987. What many Dems and progressives are talking about is the TeleComm Act of 1993 (I think that is the date). That act is what lifted the restrictions that were in place that did not allow corporations to own multiple radio stations, TV stations, newspapers, etc. in the same geographic area. When that act was signed is when communication monopolies began. Corporations have bought up the radio stations in entire cities and have not allowed anyone else with different views from entering the market. Radio broadcast license is free and is considered to be public domain. All that is being asked is that since it is public domain that certain rules, regulations, and conditions be placed upon the use of the license. Better yet repel the TeleComm Act and we'd see TV and radio stations return to local ownership and control instead of being corporate conglomerates.

Air America is not worth even discussing, let alone taking the trouble to "lie" about.
It is a failed enterprise, and always was a complete joke. The truth about Air America is quite damning enough.

Great, one person from Air America opposes it. Wow. But the majority of the liberal media favors it.
