It's not that it needs no proof, it's that the proof cannot be proven because it is an internal process. I have a connection to the Spirit. I cannot prove this to you, the connection is within. We can assess anothers degree of real Faith by the fruits of that Faith, or in other words their actions. Do they walk what they talk. True Faith iplies a change in behavior, a principal or concept we base even our day to day living upon. If a belief does not cause a change in behavior that is outwardly noticeable, then is is still a belief, a theory we are learning to incorporate into our lives but maybe just have not allowed to go deep enough to change us. In Faith, we surpass belief, we just know. When discussing spiritual matters words leave us all feeling like we just came from the tower of Babel, we just can't really understand each other. I BELIEVE it is this way by design. We can only come to this place each thru his or her own experience with God, & each in their own understanding of what God is to them. Are any of them right or wrong, or could we all be one thing split into a billion pieces all experiencing this enormanity of God from every concievable point of view, to later bring it back to the one with full understanding together. Sort of like the 3 blind men who each touched a different aspect of a elephant & then described what he felt. They did not realize that they were all correct if all the pieces where put together. Thanks for a excellent question. (((HUG)))

I have proof -- Faith is based on the Bible -- prophecies and events that came true cannot have been matieralized any other way -- making the Bible 100% true -- it is ironic since the Bible is already written in stone -- why does God need people to follow it precisely to prove our faith -- when we already demonstrated that we have faith by wanting to serve God (Jesus Christ) -- which is -- the Word (Bible). So if that isn't irony I don't know what is -- it may not have been stated philosophically -- but the Bible is not a Philosophy book -- it is a book of Truth -- and the Philosophers are there to question that truth -- Philosophically -- Which can be interpreted to be lies -- since it REALLY does cause Christians to question the Bible -- the truth that was always was there and NEVER lied to them --- Ironic, wouldn't you say???

Faith is based on belief. Believing in things not seen. You have to be tested to prove that you have faith because then how else would you or people see that you have faith. Otherwise it wouldn't be considered faith if you didn't prove it. Its like you have to talk the walk. You can't say you have faith and have nothing to back that up.

Your Q is ambiguous. So I give you two answers:
1) As far a Faith in the religious and spiritual context, mature faith like genuine love is an act of will powered by the energy of the dual desires to be happy and to live forever a life of meaning and worth. Other than that, Faith is a mystery based neither on evidence or logic ( Pascal's wagering notwithstanding).
2) As far as words go I would generally define "faith" as an act of will, a commitment that consists in a mixture of trust and hope in a future, in someone, or something that is uncertain but good.

What you're neglecting to show is how questions there are which could no longer be replied with logical solutions. faith arises from a would desire to answer the questions for which technology is inadequate. Ignoring those questions is fullyyt faith that those matters are considerable. I actual have been raised as a mathematician. on the turn of the twentieth century the foremost mathematician made a itemizing of the ten maximum needed questions in arithmetic that had no longer been solved. 50 years later the everyday public of those questions have been proved to be and not utilising a answer. So even in a topic which includes arithmetic it is frequently merely logical, some issues would desire to be believed by skill of religion one way or yet another without foundation in reason.

Faith Isn't Based on what you can see all the time. Faith is believing in things that you cannot or don't see. You are not callled to persay prove your faith but to be able to hold up on what you believe in. Like when you wake up. Do You feel for the floor or do you assume that it is there? That is faith. Its ironic i know but its based on belief not facts. I hope this helps.

To keep this short and sweet, and not write a book; just email me for a great free e-book of 2097 pages that covers this and more supernally and repletely.
Living faith is based on our Living Creating, Controlling, Reality Upholding GOD; and GOD needs no proof from the outside of you.
Either you Know as a living soul (Spirit-duplicated Real you) that you are an eternal I am of I AM or not.
I am of I AM, and I Am in I AM, now and eternally.
Later, we can cover the hundreds of reasons why Spirit to soul faith is so much more real than mere intellectual beliefs.
Peace and progress,

Faith is based on the individual. That's you.
I know of men who put more faith in a gas pump than they do in God.
Years ago there was a station in Toronto pumping a poor quality gas through a pump that was supposed to be the best gas fuel at the station. The owner had been doing this for years! His favourite customers would come in and fill up their vehicles with cheap gas in full faith that it was a premium fuel.
Of course they couldn't see the difference, of course they put their faith in the sign on the pump, of course they believed they were putting the best fuel into their vehicles. That's called faith. They couldn't see but believed!
Some people put more faith in a gas pump than they do in God.

Faith, broadly, is one's trust in something or someone. The level of total commitment and justification of that faith is based solely on the individual.
If LOVE needs no PROOF, what is it BASED on?
& why are we called and tested to PROVE we have LOVE...
isn't it ironic?

Only one thing: conceptual knowledge (only in the mind, and not through sense experience) otherwise called belief, is what faith is based on.
We can always love someone/ or on a long distance whom we never met because we believe we love that person, but over the time when we start believing what we felt for that person wasn't love, do we still love him?
it is indeed ironic to prove our faith knowing that we're justifying it with just pure conceptual knowledge or belief.
