Add the terms with x together, so 7x-3x is 4x and then add the other terms, 2+5 = 7 so you get 4x+7

to simply this equation you need to add all the x values and then the numbers.
So 7x-3x= 4x
2+5=7
Therefore 7x+2-3x+5 simplified is 4x+7

Are you sure you wrote this down correctly? The answer is 4x+7, however if I were setting the question it would read (7x+2)-(3x_5) 'cos it's harder, the answer to that is 4x-3

You have to collect the like-terms first.
7x and -3x both have x right? so you can group them together.
+2 and +5 both are natural numbers without any sign, so group it.
Then rearrange it; like-terms together!
7x-3x+2+5
4x+7
