Okay. In a COMMUNIST society, the Government tells YOU where to work, takes your WHOLE paycheck, and gives YOU back an amount equal to everyone else. The worker work at the benefit of the elite few at the top. The STATE owns all means of production and redistribute the wealth as the state leader sees fit.
I can't think of one Democrat that endorses this ideology. Social spending is a horse of a different color. We all CONTRIBUTE our tax dollars to programs meant to benefit everyone. The Military is a social expenditure. The Fire and Police department, National Highway System, Parks and Recreation..all paid for socially. Democracy works best when it's a mix of lite-socialism and capitalism...it's always been that way.

Shadowcast.. can you link any of your accusations? I stopped reading when you started sticking up for the Center of Moral Clarity and their fight to be able to mix politics into their serivices. Why should they remain tax exempt if they are going to tell people who to vote for..blurring the lines between church and state... and to be honest, as someone from Central Ohio..that ministry is as crooked as a politician..but that's besides the point.

I don't think anyone with any knowledge is claiming that Democrats are the same as Communists. Those who prefer a more conservative approach to government are saying is that many of the policies and legislation favored by the Democrats are 'socialist'. Democrats believe that increased government involvement in the people's personal lives is a positive step. If you believe this is true, you are supporting socialism, and socialism is a stone's throw away from communism.

The reason for this belief is that governments don't ever become less powerful. As governments gain more power, the more opportunities for power they will create and the larger they become. THAT is when totalitarianism (a communist style regime) happens. And that is what drives Republican and Libertarian concerns regarding our continued loss of freedom.

More government means more power over our lives. You can't have more government and more freedom. It just doesn't work that way.

How's this For A History and Civics Lesson? Two nights ago they DID IN FACT VOTE BY VOICE to rape the 1st Amendment and give a Free pass to Pedophiles that want to have consensual sex with underage minors, take away Free Speech and Freedom of Religious Expression and DICTATE to Churches what they can and Cannot Teach according to their own Church's, Synagogues or Mosques theologically Correct Doctrines in the Form of The Enda Act and House Bills 984 and 2015. Forcing them to go against their own Faith Based Beliefs and even have to hire them in those Churches synagogues and Mosques.....Those are not just Civil Rights Acts! They are Now dictating Doctrine and to have to be Politically Correct Churches, Mosques and Synagogues whether they like it or Not. Isn't that what Hitler and the Communists did, before all religions were outlawed?

I'll Never Ever Vote for them again for as long as they are legislating perverse abominable laws, while talking out of the other side of their mouths about the Welfare of Children! Take That Harry Reid, Pelosi and Durbin sneaking in the Dream Act this week too to give Other Free Passes to Illegals! I try to make a better distinction. Not so much Republicans and Democrats but Liberals and Conservatives. There are some Liberal Republicans just as there are some Conservative Democrats.

And yes, I believe that Liberals are borderline Communists. Socialized medicine, redistribution of wealth, etc. It's all out there. Do the research yourself, as I have, and you will see what I mean.

People are forgetting that this is America. You know, the greatest country on Earth? Mom, baseball, apple pie, etc.

All of the democrats running for the presidency are socialists. Some more extreme then others. Hillary borders communism. I don't understand what is so difficult for the libs to see that there is no difference between Marx and her. She clearly said she would "take" the oil companies profits and re-distribute them. She now wants to subsidize birth. I don't see how well that's going to go with the pro-abortion advocates and the general population who is anti-abortion but won't want to give up more of their hard-earned money in the form of legal robberie (taxes) to pay for every new child. INSANITY is what that women suffers from!

Amen to that! But--from teachingg history in college, I can tell you that a lotof the young people aren't learning these things in high school. Because half--or more--of the schools aren't teaching the materiel.
