Mini blinds are simple to clean and if you want to do it right and fast. William B has the idea in the tub, but I would also add bleach to dissolve the dirt grime and smoke and then hang dry.

Fill the bathtub with hot water and 1/2up of bleach, open up the blinds and let them soak for one half hour. Then take a cloth and wipe along all the slats, and rinse. Tie them up on the shower curtain rod to drip dry. Then just hang them up. No easy way out of this one.

One option is to take them down, take them outside and clean them with soapy water and a hose. Here's an idea for maintenance...

I save old white socks, put them on my hand and use rubbing alcohol to clean my mini blinds. It works fast and gets them very clean.

Hang on a clothes line and spray them with Greased Lightening and let it set a few seconds and rinse with a hose,,,works like a charm, no mess in the bath tub!

If you can take them down and soak them in soapy water, great. If not, a wet cloth will help a ton. To prevent dust build up spray them with Worley's Wonder.

Clean with Fabric softner in water, just add a capful to a half bucket of warm water and sponge on and wipe with a towel the dirt will slide right off and protect it from getting dirty sooner Good Luck !

If you have a clothes line, simply hang them up and spray with a hose.
