For me, many of the bad things in my life have happened in September. It seems like I'm always stressed out, become depressed, and have an emptiness in my heart that seems pronounced during that month. I think about when I was sued for an accident that I didn't cause, how I was emotionally tormented as a child because I absolutely hated going to school, and the constant reminder that the leaves falling from the trees made me depressed, and that somehow I alone I truly am in a world of strangers - - - all in the month of September....

My happiest month would have to be June, because the sun shines more often, the whole summer is ahead, and it seems like I'm able to get more done in that month more than any other time.

September is one of my favorite months. I remember the fun times of sitting under the lights on the bleachers watching high school and college football games. There's almost nothing better than a football game on a cool crisp autumn day! And I always look forward to the opening day of college football and the NFL!
My wedding anniversary is in September - this year was 7 years! Getting a trip to Red Lobster is always a bonus!
The 23rd is actually a big day too. Me and my best friend starting dating these guys on the very same day when we were in high school. (I believe it was on the day of the homecoming dance.) The relationships didn't work out thankfully, and now we celebrate our "Thank-God-it's-not-our-(insert appropriate # of years)-Anniversary. This year we celebrated our not 13th anniversary! We used to go out to eat and get ice cream to celebrate, but now she lives in LA and I'm in Kansas, so we have to just share a phone call instead. I miss her.
My brother also got married on the 23rd, and this year was his first anniversary, so I'm happy to remember the day when I got my new sister!
And my Grandpa died on the 23rd, so that's a sad memory, but I'm glad I have good things to remember that day too.
I love fall and all the leaves changing colors and falling to the ground. It makes me want to cook soup and bake pumpkin bread and cookies.
I'm not a huge fan of January. The landscape looks so bleak and dreary, and all the hooplah of Christmas is done and it's just cold and icy and boring.
Have a good day! And don't worry! September is almost over! :)

I can't really say that the best or worst of memories is a function of time or in this case which month. At least not in general. Personally, it would be October for me because it is then I get glad for friends who remember to greet me and really sad for those i hoped and thought would remember me but really did not. Most times though, December is best month for me, it is when i feel the extremes of activities, really busy towards the holiday. At work everybody is trying to cramp up everything before the great break. This is so busy that momentum is built, and just when the last day is over, the following day, start of holiday would be so relaxed. Its like blowing a big balloon then burst it with a pin!

That would be September - October, there's just something about the blazing colours, the crisp air, mists and rain that bring a sweet melancholy to me.
Oh yes, and the smell of drying leaves ... that reminds me of long walks in the gardens of old manor houses, looking at the reflection of white swans on the mirror of a dark pond.

December, I still feel the warmth of the season whenever it comes around. Usually the workload eases off, people around me seem happier and good things usually happen to me in December. It's as if all the negative aspects of life get turned down
The one month I truly enjoy Hot cocoa.
Sorry to hear September was so bad, but I got good news, it's almost over

usually on january.

in school, [i'm a geek] january is the month where social status is at it's prime... groups like the jocks, cool, bullies, nerds and the like. it's tough to handle because of the pressure since as i said earlier, i'm a geek.

this was also the month of my break up

October... back in the 80's i had to spend a month with my Uncle at his cottage in Port Collbern. I still can smell him when i close my eyes, cheap whiskey and old spice. He did things, strange, exotic things. I spent hours on his lap digging in his pockets for loose change.(i got to keep all i found) It was a magical month I taught him to laugh and he taught me to love.....
