Who do you think will win? The Yankees have dominated the Indians this season but history is on the Indians side. Teams that go 6-0 vs an opponent during the regular season are only 3-9 vs that team in the playoffs since 1995. The first two games will be played the Jake with games 3 and 4 in the Bronx. Game 5 will be played in Cleveland. Who do you think will win and why?

You made some good points there Stephan H but CC has pitched in the playoffs one before, back in 01 when he was 21. He went 6 innings giving up 2 ER.

I think this all works out perfectly. If you look at the matchups you have CC going the first game who has never pitched in the post season and FAusto who has never pitched in the most season. Why this works out perfectly is that they are both pitching their first playofff appearance at HOME. This should be able to calm their nerves and hopefully be up 2-0. Going into New York they should have Paul Byrd going who is a vet and I don't think would be to rattled in the Bronx. Even if they lose that game the Indians would have CC going in game four to lock it up in the Bronx and show the world that he is the best pitcher in the league. The Indians have one i think it is now 25 of their last 33 games and going into the play-off thats a good stat to have. The yankees pitching we all know is god awful and with the Indians bats that can explode at any moment the Yankees could just book their trip to florida now.

I really cannot decide at a fan's angle which team to root for. The Yankees and the Indians are equally my favorite teams and I'm disappointed one team has to leave in the first round.

I believe the Yankees will win. Coming from the All-Star break, the Yankees have dominated and they even got so close to winning the AL East in fact. They have added so many young arms in the bullpen and rotation and are doing great. Jeff Karstens is doing a great job, substituting for Mike Mussina when needed so. Phil Hughes is doing an amazing job in the rotation. The offense on the Yankees is also producing. Bobby Abreu is coming out of his slump, the captain is doing as well as always, Jorge Posada is 4th in the AL with his batting AVG., and last but certainly not least, the probable AL MVP of the season, leading the MLB and his career high in HR's (54) and RBI's (155), Alex Rodriguez! So obviously the Yankees should be going to the ALCS and maybe even the World Series. ("27 in 2007") But there is one person I forget to mention with the others. That is because this guy deserves his own category, 2-0, 0.38 ERA with 34 strikeouts in 29 innings and 1 save, JOBA CHAMBERLAIN! So yes I vote the Yankees over Cleveland.

I'm hoping that Cleveland will win. You could make an argument for both teams. The Yanks have definetly been on a roll since the All-Star break so it would seem that they have the momentum. Although, I think Cleveland is tied with Boston for the best record in baseball. They've been consistent all year. It wouldn't surprise me if Cleveland did what Detroit did last year and beat the Yanks.

The Tribe. I am saying that since I am a fan of the Indians and the fact that they are hot right now. C.C. and Fausto are gunna win it in the first two games. Kenny Lofton is going to have a big series along with Victor.

The indians for sure. They've been playin the best baseball in years, plus they have a better record than the yankees do. and having someone like travis hafner on their team, the yankees have a better chance of losing than the indians.

It should be a good series. That being said i think the Yanks should win but history has shown they have not done well as a Wild Card so we will see what happens.

Tribe all the way. i say the series is over in 4. down with the yankees the tribe just has too much pitching and the yanks can't match that.

I think it will be a good series either way. CC has been a great pitcher this year. On the other hand A-rod has been good all year. It could go either way.
