Riding at night is a skill just like riding in the rain. Take things a little slower as you get acclimated. Install some driving lights. I replaced the standard H3 headlight on my bike with a high output light. (80/100 watts vs stock 50/65 watts available at NAPA) Made a big difference. Doesn't seem to affect oncoming traffic anymore than the stock light did on low beam. Good clear or amber tinted glasses help by increasing contrast, that's the reason hunters wear amber-increased contrast. Don't look at the oncoming headlights as that will just decrease your night vision. As others have said get you eyes checked. People with astigmatism have more problems at night than others. Take short rides at night and gradually increase the length as you get used to riding at night. Finally I find riding in the country without all the light a glare found in cities easier. Just be careful, don't ride faster than you can see and remember the first rule of riding-Don't go anywhere that your mind wasn't 5 seconds ago! Look ahead, be careful and have fun.

Riding, or driving at night can be a challenge for anyone with less than average eye sight.
Riding a bike is even harder, cause you not only have limited visibility to see where you're going, but you also have the added challenge of balancing on non level road surfaces.
Unless you have a gyroscope built into your brain box, keeping upright can be a challenge.
For safety reasons, only ride in well lit areas and put some added lighting on your bike.
Light bars with high powered driving lights look very stylish on cruisers.
Enjoy and ride safe.

At night, at speeds less than 35 mph, I ride with my helmet visor up, so I don't get glare from the visor. I also use high beams where I can.

You need to add a "light bar" to your motorcycle. Talk to your motorcycle dealer. This is a common mod for some motorcycles.

Me too,

I am mildly night blind, so I avoid riding at night if possible. The Ambervision goggles work somewhat, but they work best if there is a little light still.

Try not to ride at night, unless you have to.

If you have to, when the headlights come up, look at the right line to guide you, this is especially effective with high beams.

Yes night riding can take time getting use to. Make sure you are focus and watch out for those that cant see. Stay out of people blind side and ride with care, and you will be just fine.

I can relate

I often feel that way at night and lights, especially bright oncoming lights, hurt and blur my vision to the point that it doesnt feel safe.

I ended up getting glasses with non-glare and that helps a bit, but if its not pleasant for you I would avoid it also.

I agree - - what are you riding????

Sounds like you might be getting night blindness - have your eyes tested - tell the DR. your problems.

There is always a treatment -
