I don't know. I usually make whatever I feel like. We don't have set meals for certain days. My sister is like that though. She is just like my mom. Monday one thing, Tuesday another, and so on, and it rarely variates! LOL.

I bbq for as long as I can cause it's quick and easy, and I could eat chicken or fish every day of the week frankly, a nice salad (which is what I LOVE most---I could live on salad bars forever) with a potato dish (broiled with olive oil, salt and rosemary is my fav.) or a rice dish and lots of steamed/bbq'd or stir fried veggies is what I like to do on a daily basis.

A treat would be pasta with meatballs, or pizza from scratch. I do buy the dough though from a bakery and let it rise. I usually make roasts during the week as they are quick and easy. So Sunday would be special mostly during the winter, when I would take the time to spend 3 hours cooking.

I've pretty well learned to whip up even the fanciest of meals in record time. Sundays are when I put "quality" into my cooking. I guess that is what would make it special. I buy the best cut or special pasta and take the extra time to make it really good.

I can't say it's true in summer however. And it's still "summer" to me. I hate spending time near the stove when its still hot out.

Tonights menu is roast pork with mashed potatos/gravy and beans and carrots. I may make some stuffed eggplants tomorrow just for a treat and bbq'd chicken with corn.

PS: Everything we eat is home-made. I never pull processed or frozen anything out of the freezer and call it a meal. The only thing frozen I buy are veggies and I freeze meat and shredded cheese and any leftovers when I make a big batch (like lasagna).

I guess that would be another major Sunday treat....with home-made garlic bread of course.

We have turkey with all the trimmings every Sunday. Can you believe it? It has been a tradition in our family for over ten years. We eat dinner at my grandparent's house every Sunday.

If I had my way, it would be prime rib, with baked potato, green beans, yeast biscuits, salad with grapes, tomatoes, red, yellow, and orange pepper, pineapple chunks, with 1000 island Dressing. For desert it would be Cherry Chip Cake, with Cherry Frosting both spiked with almond Extract. For drink it would be V-8 Juice.
