nope.
sure having a royal family helps but they are also part of the history and i would be crushed if they left.

You omitted any reference to the money. There should be a little something about the concentration of wealth. The Royal Families are big on keeping ahold of the aggregate wealth, dont'cha know?

No it is not the main reason.
The Brits are all about pomp, ceremony and tradition.
It is a hold over from when royality -kings and queens ran their country
