this happened after we have reformatted my laptop. Can someone pls help me... God speed

If your DSL modem logs into the service, then try turning it OFF, then back on. Otherwise, consider installing the DSL software that came with the service, then LOG IN through that.
If you are using a Router between your computer and DSL modem, that router should be logged in already. I recommend that you get a Router for the added firewall protection.

it appears you don't have the drivers for your modem or wireless card or whatever your computer uses to get on the internet
go to the manufacturers website, download a driver, and use a flash drive to move the driver onto the internet-less computer
