Very nice turquoise/blue coloring on the body and into the fins! Because of the small reddish area on his fins, maybe you should consider getting some plants that will complement it. If you want to stick with fake plants, they sell small, silk water lily-like plants at Petco and Petsmart that would do a nice job of contrasting the normal, green plant. If you want a live reddish plant, consider Cryptocoryne wendtii. With proper lighting, it will turn a purple/red color that would perfectly show off your Bettas coloring.

Hi

He is a crossbred comman veil tail in multi colouring. He is also an older fish so keep an eye on him. He has had finrot recently, I can still see healing black edges to his fins. He is big because he is older and the IBC regs on Giant's are not complete but he doesn't qualify. He would have to be over 6 inches to even catch up with a Giant.

Your tank is lovely and he will be very happy. He looks a nice, sturdy fish and is perfect for a beginner betta keeper. He is useless for breeding but ideal as a pet to give you pleasure.

Any health probs will come from internal bacterial issues (older fish are more prone) or from finrot so keep him clean!

Enjoy Shakespear and show him off proudly!

Come on over to Betta Flare and contribute with your fish keeping experiences. We'd love to have you!

those with extra desirable fish tanks do now not exchange the water while they introduce new fish to the tank. even with the indisputable fact that, that being stated, except you have a filter out and do partial water adjustments on your tank as quickly as in step with week you're able to think of approximately beginning throughout. be valuable to now not introduce the hot Beta to the water until eventually you be attentive to the chemical components are lengthy previous and the temperature is coming up a friendly Beta environment. additionally there are useful micro organism in a longtime tank that particularly help eliminate risky micro organism from the water.

he is a regular mutlie color veil tail.

gaint bettas are really 4-8 inches not 3-2.5

you have a larger bettas, but that is common with older vts.

But still a nice regular betta.

Wow looks like you picked out a very healthy and beautiful betta.
Bettas fins can be very short or very long, in this case, his are long.
as for colouring, bettas have a very wide variety of colours.

He's pretty. I think you're good because he's in a tank, not a bowl. It looks really good. And it has a filter. All fish need a filter.

Try considering to get some tank mates so he wont be lonely.
