Your tulips can be planted now in a sunny spot. Plant tulips pointed end up and 6 inches deep, meaning 4 inches of good soil above the top of the bulb. Plant a little deeper, to 8 inches, if soil is light or sandy, or if pests such as moles are a problem. It doesn't have to be as deep for clay soil. Before planting, add compost & well-rotted manure to your soil to make sure your plants have good drainage & nutrients. Save time by digging one large hole rather than several individual holes & cluster together. Then cover with soil.
Water once, then let nature take over.

Good luck!! Hope this helps.

plant tulips in the fall, don't buy one of those tulip hole digger, it doesn't work, just dig one big hole and plant the bulbs point side up cover them and wait for the sping, you'll be pleasantly surprised
