OK, honestly what do you want me to say to you. Do you want me to make up this long story about how there is an underground plot between all of the real estate moguls of this world to take out each and every tree. Do you want to hear about the secret society of tree haters???

Seriously, i don't mean to be a prick or anything but I'm pretty sure the reason that people keep cutting down trees is due to the fact that we as a world are WAY overpopulated (which is a great reason to have this little thing that we all hate, called war which is a completely different rant) but tree-huggers are generally opposed to war so instead of just killing off the population we are forced to cut down trees to make room for apartment complexes and public housing to find places to store all of these extra people running around.

We need more room

Because wood is still profitable and a neccessary product regardless if you see the BIG picture or not. If you lived in the Amazon for instance the pretty forest is covering land you could use to grow food to eat to prevent dying or to support your family.

Because, people still want to farm and harvest wood, etc. They don't see the big picture and are simply meeting their immediate needs.
