I was browsing through Barnes and Noble with a friend of mine a few weeks ago and she bought a book named Dream Saver by Michelle Izmaylov. She really loved reading it, and when I heard her praise the book, I read it too and absolutely loved it! It's great young adult material that I would recommend for absolutely anyone. Plus, Dream Saver hit the Barnes and Noble Daily Top 10 Bestsellers list for the Fantasy Fiction subject area, definitely making it a popular choice. I've actually also read Twilight (which is, by the way, amazing--go Edward and Bella!) and so I know what I'm talking about when I say I think that you will love Dream Saver.

Susan Wiggs has some great books
Summer At Willow Lake
The Winter Lodge
Dockside
I have also just found Sara Veerland:
The Girl In Hyacinth Blue just a wonderful little book about a painting and the people who own it throught the years
Also Ayelet Waldman and Nursery Crimes. It is a mystery but it is so funny and well written you should give it a shot.
David B. Coe has some fantasy books-The Lon-Tobyn Chronicles:
The Children of Amarid
The Outlanders
Eagle-Sage
they are quiet good.

You should like "A Spell for Chameleon" by Piers Anthony. Mini-review here:
http://www.life-after-harry-potter.com
Main character goes on a fantasy quest to prove that he is worthy of his fiancé. I think that there's enough romance in here for you. Although the story is basically serious, there is a lot of humor in it as well.
