Kanye West's Graduation sold 957,000 copies in its 1st week whereas Curtis sold 651,000 in its 1st week. I've never seen such high selling sales figures for 1st week for hip hop since like..ages ago.
And to think,there's gonna be another showdown between two R&B divas in November : Mariah Carey and Mary J Blige.

In my opinion I figured Kanye Would see more cd sales. I think his music has more of an audience then 50. I guess the sales just prove it. And I think Mary will as well. Maria may do well don't get me wrong and I liked most of her cd's but many people may buy her cd just because it has been so long since her last one. But I wasn't impress with her last cd.

Kanye is clearly superior....Great publicity stunt on their part. I don't buy CD's anymore so I was not a contributor....I am into the download thing.

Lol,it was stated somewhere that if 50 cent lost then he would quit releasing albums,but these rumours were later denied by him.
