Former US president Jimmy Carter and his wife Rosalyn have been variously described as prime examples of authentic Christian living and 'self-actualized' persons; can anyone expand on this?

In his Southern Baptist upbringing, he and Rosalyn epitomize the Christian belief to be humble and help your fellow man. He attends Church regularly, he works for habitat for humanity, and donates a lot of money to charity as well as promote charitable contributions from others in the private and corporate sector. Jimmy Carter was a terrible US President, but he is a decent man that believes he is better served by helping others. He does this by example which is the self-actualized part of your question.

Jimmy Carter, while not the best president the US has ever known, is the greatest ex president because of his work with Habitat for Humanity, which helps build decent affordable housing for people who have limited finances. He is not some figure head with the organization, but actually does hands on carpentry work building and renovating housing
