Daylight Savings has been in effect in Australia since the early 1900's.

For most of Australia it goes from the last Sunday @ 2am in October to the last Sunday @ 3am of March.

Tazmania differs in that it goes from the first Sunday in October to the last Sunday of March.

Queensland and Northern Territories do not use Daylight Savings Time.

Apparently Western Australian Daylight Time is "experimental" from 2006 to 2009.

probably for an identical reason that it is carried out in a lot of something of the international: human beings evaluate evening daylight hours to be extra functional than morning daylight hours, and there is incredibly some reason for this. The areas of the international that don't do daylight hours Saving Time are customarily in tropical areas the place the size of day does not selection a lot: to illustrate, Saudi Arabia does not do daylight hours time, yet Iraq, to the north of it, does.
