I have 120amp hr battery and might consider getting another to run paralell with it both to be topped up by Solar panel.
any advice folks? I will be in sunnier climes than UK!

I use a 300 watt in Australia and run the fridge off it and a light but it will not drive any more so I think 800 will be enough for your needs especially with solar backup ~~

Depends what you want to run. 800w good enough for most uses but won't boil a standard kettle. If that is what you want to do, you can however buy lower wattage kettles.
