I was thinking of giving Christmas aprons as a gift to several people this year and wondering if that would be something people would use or just put away.

I always do, and to wash up too. I have a thing about being clean and hate my clothes getting dirty, I'm one of those who have to wash their hand at least every half an hour!!!
I think that's a great present. You can get some really cool aprons these days, I got a funny apron whilst on holiday in Italy a few yrs back, it's a picture of a naked mans body, (with no head, and don't worry...bit down there is covered!) So u can get some fun aprons for your friends as gifts, I'm sure they'll like them.

I do not use an apron when cooking. Although I love cooking, sometimes the thought courses through me that I should wear an apron.

If you give an apron to those who appreciate cooking and all that goes with it, I am sure they would love your gift.

I would use an apron that covers from the waist up. Ya know those kinds that tie around the waist but also goes up higher and has a strap that goes around your neck and also covers from waist to about mid chest? Waist to mid chest is where all of the spatters get me.

I never get dirty from the waist down while cooking and there's no point in me using the kind of apron that just ties around my waist.

Maybe it depends on how tall the cook is?

Yes. Especially doing the holidays. I bake lots of cakes and pies. Aprons makes me feel like I'm really doing my thang. Aprons would be a nice gift.

No I do not wear one and I really should. I tend to get very messy in the kitchen. Even when doing dishes. After I am done in the kitchen I have to change clothes. So since you want to give aprons out for Christmas send one my way....lol

its too much trouble to have to go find ur apron and put it on, reminds me of cooking class back in 7th grade
when im cooking, i just get off my butt head for the kitchen and whip something up.
it depends on the person, i had a friend who used a spoon holder when she cooked and had a bunch of nifty gadgets, that i could do with out, a simple swipe of a paper towel and my spoon mark would be gone
